Enamelware - A Work in Progress

For the still life class at KAGS today our theme was Enamelware. There were a number of items to work from including a caldron, two bowls, two plates, an earthenware jug, two ceramic mugs and a tea pot.

I chose to do the tea pot with the two mugs and one of the plates.

I will post the painting at a later date once I finish the drawing and put in the background.

Thank you for coming to look at my artwork and I hope you will return often.

Baking - A Work in Progress

Today I was at the Still life at KAGS and the theme was Baking.

There was a wide variety of things for this theme; cookies, pies, baking supplies, measuring cups, cook books, measuring spoons, oven mitts, aprons and many other things.

So many things in fact that there were two tables full of items related to baking.

I chose to do some of the things on the smaller table, which included three quarters of a strawberry custard and cream pie, a coffee mug with wooden spoons, a rolling pin, a bottle of spices and a miniature cupcake.

I will post this piece at a later date once I have painted in the background and started painting some of the items on the table.

Thank you for looking at my artwork.

Coffee or Tea? - A Work in Progress

We had an interesting collection of tea pots, percolators, coffee mugs, spoons and cups and saucers for our Still life display at KAGS this morning.

I chose to do a small section of the display. I liked the stainless steel percolator which had the orange tea pot being reflected back on its surface. The gold coloured coffee mug picked up some of the colours of the tea pot as well as some of the colours of the patterned tea cup and saucer. Then I added a couple of silver spoons to complete the arrangement.

I will post this painting at a later date once I have more of it completed.
