Meanwhile Lang Pioneer village is hosting one of its special summer events, the Bedrooms and Backwoods: Secrets of the Village at Night on Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.

Participants can tour the village by the glow of lantern light and experience the secrets of settler life after dark, according to a release.

• Romantic horse-drawn wagon rides through the village under the evening sky.
