ACEO - Branches 1-3

In almost every landscape painting you will find at least one tree.

I have found the best time of the year to see what is hidden under the leaves is in the winter, when the trees are bare and there is nothing to hide the "skeleton".

This of course does not hold true for the evergreens with the exception of the Tamarack, which sheds its needles each year.

Looking at trees in winter gives a better understanding of the shape of each kind of tree, how they differ from one another and the differences between trees of the same type.
