The under painting for this painting is in soft pink and mauve, with areas of white paper left for the sun touched snow on the ground and snow covered tree branches.
The open water of the river has been washed in with a mixture of French ultramarine blue and alizarin crimson.Some of the tree trunks have been indicated on both sides of the river.
A few shadows have been placed on the right side where foreground tree branches are showing.
I will post this painting at a later date once more of it is completed.
