Forest Fire

For this painting I soaked the paper in water then poured Antwerp blue, raw sienna and alizarin crimson onto the paper. I rolled the paint around, sprinkled salt into the wet paint and then set it aside to dry.

The salt had created some interesting effects and had pushed a lot of the colour away from the center of the paper.

Using a mixture of the three colours I painted in trees.

Forest Fire is an original 9" x 12” framed watercolour available for $165.00.
