ACEO - Morning Sky 7

I wanted to finish this piece I started last month (see post on 28 February 2017).

With French ultramarine blue and raw sienna, I painted the pine trees in the foreground, just behind the large rocks on the shore.

Lightening the colour with water I put in the distant trees on top of the rocks on the far shoreline.

Lastly, I used various combinations of cadmium red, cadmium yellow, burnt sienna and new gamboge to put in the reflections of the sky colours in the water.

If you would like more information about ACEO please go to my post on 11 March 2010.

The ACEO shown here is an original watercolour painting using Artist quality Winsor & Newton paint on 140lb. Arches 100% rag, acid free watercolour paper. It is priced at $20.00 and sold unframed.
