I did this sketch a couple of years ago see post on 29 July 2014) when we were canoeing on Coon Lake.
First I indicated the trunks of the main trees and then I put the tree stump onto the island.
Next I drew in the distant shoreline of the lake and added the trees on the shore.
In the foreground I started with some growies on top of the rocks and added a few ripples into the water.
I will post this drawing at a later time once I have put in the main trees.
