I was going through some still life paintings and I came across this one that I had started early last year (see post on 19 January 2012).
I wanted to do a little more work on it and get a couple more parts on it completed.
After looking over it I decided that the bolt of material behind the sewing machine was a little too plain and drab being in shades of grey.
To give it a little more life I washed over the material with pure Antwerp blue.
Next I worked on the shirt on the sewing machine using various mixes of Cadmium red, Cadmium yellow and alizarin crimson.
I started working on the sewing machine and started with the face place and worked from the front to the back of the machine adding details as I went across.
Moving on to the table I drew in the legs and started on the edge before running out of time.
I will post this painting again at a later date once more work on it has been completed.
