OSWOA - Dawn Silhouette 2

I pulled this painting out that I had been working on since last year (see post on 27 August 2012, 03 January 2013 and 15 February 2013).

I added more trees to the background and added a little more detail onto the closer trees.

Using a pale wash of light red I added it some areas of the snow and while it was still wet put in the shadows of the trees using a mixture of French ultramarine blue and burnt sienna.

I set the painting aside to dry and made myself a cup of tea while I decided where to paint in the growies and what colours to use to paint in the people.

After my break I used raw sienna for the grasses and then added the people.

If you would like more information about OSWOA please go to my post on 12 March 2010.

The OSWOA shown here is an original watercolour painting using Artist quality Winsor & Newton paint on 140lb. Arches 100% rag, acid free watercolour paper. It is framed and is priced at $165.00.
