I pulled this painting out that I had been working on since last year (see post on 27 August 2012, 03 January 2013 and 15 February 2013).
I added more trees to the background and added a little more detail onto the closer trees.
Using a pale wash of light red I added it some areas of the snow and while it was still wet put in the shadows of the trees using a mixture of French ultramarine blue and burnt sienna.
I set the painting aside to dry and made myself a cup of tea while I decided where to paint in the growies and what colours to use to paint in the people.
After my break I used raw sienna for the grasses and then added the people.
