The Church is holding its annual plant and bake sale outside. I know I will be going to go and see what plants they may have that I will need for my garden and of course pick up some lemon squares and date squares as well as a pie to go with supper tonight.
Today I worked on Bend in the River. I had started it a couple of years ago (see post on 16 September 2010) and thought it was finished. Later, after I had looked at it for a while I decided that it needed something more done to make it more interesting.With an oval mat on it and a little more colour into the trees I felt it would be an improvement (see post on 12 December 2011) but didn't have the time do all of the painting at that time.
With spending the day at the art show was able to complete the painting and will frame it up next week. This original 5" x 7" oval watercolour when framed will be available for $145.00.
We had a steady stream of people going through the show with three paintings being sold from Rebecca Bilcox and Bonny Windover, JoAnne Connell Northey sold pottery and small items were sold by Diane Collins.

19 May 13 - 12:30pm - 5:00pm
20 May 13 - 10:00am - 5:00pm
