Helen Sheppard sold an original painting, and a number of smaller items from JoAnne Connell Northey, Lorraine Ryan and Diane Collins sold as well.
On each of these pieces I dropped alizarin crimson, French ultramarine blue and raw sienna into the background of the painting and let it dry.Then I painted into the area where I would place the rocks using a mixture of French ultramarine blue and burnt sienna.
Using a palette knife I created the rock shapes and let them dry.

The trees were painted using French ultramarine blue and raw sienna.A darker mix of the same colours was used for the tree reflections.
