ACEO - Peach Sky 8

I started this painting last year (see post in 07 December 2016) when a friend of mine gave me a set of opaque watercolour paints to try.

First I lightly drew in the tree trunks being careful to leave space for some of the yellow sky colour to show through the trees at the bottom of the painting.

Using a variety of greens made from Antwerp blue, raw sienna, new gamboge, aureolin and French ultramarine blue I put in the tree trunks, branches and needles.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and look at the artwork.

If you would like more information about ACEO please go to my post on 11 March 2010.

The ACEO shown here is an original watercolour painting using Artist quality Winsor & Newton paint on 140lb. Arches 100% rag, acid free watercolour paper. It is priced at $20.00 and sold unframed.
