First Thaw - A Work in Progress

I recently pulled a wooden box out of what will eventually be my art room in the upstairs beside the master bedroom. After blowing the dust off the lid, I opened it and found that it was filled with acrylic paintings on wooden panels that I had started a number of years ago.

When I looked at it I realized that it was based on a sketch I came across earlier this year (see post on 20 April 2013).















This one is of Buckhorn Lake in the early spring when the snow is starting to melt and the ice is starting to thin.

I will post this painting at a later date once more work on it has been completed.
