Background 16 - A Work in Progress

Looking at extreme cold warnings in the forecast today with the temperatures at -10F (-23.3C) and feeling like -26F (-32C).

I now have over two hundred snow buntings to feed every day, it is wonderful to watch them in flight and they are becoming used to me and wait patiently for me to put out the mixed grain on the snow for them before they come flocking in to eat.

I have quite a variety of other birds coming to the feeders including cardinals, pine siskins, two different kinds of nuthatches, mourning doves, downy and hairy woodpeckers, juncos, gold finches, red polls, song, fox and house sparrows to name some of the varieties.

As usual in yesterday's class I used the leftover paint to put on a canvas as a background for future use.

I will post this painting at a later date once I have decided what I would like to paint on this canvas.
