Figuratively Speaking Exhibit at KAGS

Today is the first day of the Figuratively Speaking exhibit at the Kawartha Artists' Gallery and Studio.















The show runs from 08 August through to 09 September 2018, with the Opening Reception being held on Sunday 12 August from 1-4 p.m.

Body Parts II - Jeremy

Today I was at KAGS  for the Life Drawing class and we had Jeremy as the model.

I did a couple of sketches of him and for the long pose I liked the way the light, shadows and reflected light played across his shoulder and arm so I did this drawing.

Hand and Forearm Sketch

This year KAGS has split the Portrait and Life Drawing Group show into two separate shows.

Apparently some people were offended by the nude figure being displayed together with portraits and paintings of clothed figures.














So today is the take in for the show of the nude figures called Figuratively Speaking.
