Today I wanted to get more of this painting closer to completion (see post on 23 Oct 2016).
First I wet the top third of the painting with water and using a mixture of cobalt blue and burnt sienna I indicated a few trees in the background of the left side of the paper.
While the paper was drying I brushed a small amount of water across the centre of the paper and with a slightly darker mix of the same colours I put in the closer trees adding a little more detail than those in the background.
I will post this painting at a later date once I have finished the foreground.
