After completing my sketch I blocked in the base colours of the creel (wicker basket for carrying fish) and the wooden of the handle of the fish net with raw sienna and burnt sienna. Then using pure burnt sienna I did the under painting of the hip waders.
I made a fair amount of progress in the three hours I had to work on the piece. I will post this painting at a later date once I have finished more on it, but I am not looking forward to painting the wicker work on the creel.
