This small piece was created by dropping the three primaries on a piece of glass, then placing a piece of wet watercolour paper over it and using a brayer to press the colour onto the paper.
The paper was lifted from the glass and set aside to dry slightly until the shine leaves the paper.
While waiting for the paper to dry new gamboge, alizarin crimson and cobalt blue were mixed together for a dark. The first layer of pine trees were brushed into the background.
I will post this painting once it is finished.
