Canadian Sunset - A Work in Progress
As I look out my window it is another cold Canadian winter day.
The sun is lowering in the sky and night will soon be here.
The sky was painted with mixtures of Antwerp blue and alizarin crimson with a touch of new gamboge for the sun.
The trees on the horizon are various mixtures of burnt sienna, raw sienna and French ultramarine blue.
Now I have to decide what I will do with the foreground, but I will leave that for another time. I will post this painting at a later date once I have made my choice and the painting is further along.
Thank you for looking at my artwork.

Satriblu’s El Tigre CD
Often when I am at dog shows I will take photographs and sometimes make quick sketches of dogs in the show ring or in the grooming area.
With the number of dog shows I was at last year I have close to 40 sketches I would like to work up and complete as paintings.
Between those and the horse sketches, I have a lot of work ahead of me.
Thank you to new collector Mrs. Pat Dunsire of Peterborough, Ontario on her commission of this 9" x 12" pastel portrait of her dog.

Silence
Silence is an original 12-1/2" x 18-1/2” framed watercolour available for $295.00.
Most of the waterfowl has left for the winter and the lakes are quiet and still. There is a chill in the air, and winter will soon cover everything in a layer of ice and snow.
Today I will be at KAGS to help with the take in and hanging of the Executive Show "Once More From the Top".

Balance Beam 1 and 2
These are the first two in a series of original 15" x 20” framed Prisma pencil paintings I am doing on balance beam routines.
Balance Beam 1
In the early years of balance beam competition the beam surface was plain polished wood which was much more slippery than the suede or leather covered beams that have been in use since the 1980’s.
Prior to the 1970’s beam routines were based more in dance movements and poses than in tumbling routines.
Most of the routines performed at the higher levels were composed with combinations of walkovers, rolls, handstands, poses and leaps.
Aerials were unheard of, considering the most difficult skill performed was a back handspring.
Balance Beam 2
Congratulations to returning collector Champions Gymnastics of Peterborough, Ontario on their purchase of these two paintings.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and enjoy the artwork. I hope you will return often.
